updating firmware always also sets the internal clock
if you upload the same firmware version clock will still be set
(automatic time setting)
1. Unscrew module from eurorack case. it can still be connected to power cables, but turn your case off. the module can be powered just by using usb, so you can also take it out of the case entirely to perform the update.
2. Locate the usb C port on the bottom right of the module circuit board, and the small button on the back of the module. While continuisly holding the button, plug the module into a computer with a usb c cable. Once its plugged in wait a second, then release the button. The module should now show up on your computer as a flash drive named 'RPI-RP2'
3. Find the firmware file you just downloaded, ending in '.uf2' drag this file onto the usb drive, and it will eject itself. The module will then boot with all lights on, showing the update was succesful. Then just turn it off and on and it will work like normal
note: in order to set the clock, you need to download a fresh copy of the firmware. When you download the firmware, the current time is embedded inside of it which is copied to the module when you boot it (so don't wait more than a minute or two after downloading the firmware to upload it to the module.
